LEAVE FOR TEMPORARY DISABILITY
Full-time College employees who are temporarily disabled in the line of duty will receive disability leave with pay. While the employee is disabled, the College will pay the employee’s normal salary minus the amount of money the employee received from any Worker’s Compensation benefits.

LEAVE FOR TEMPORARY DISABILITY
Temporarily disabled full-time College employees will receive disability leave with pay. While the employee is disabled, the College will pay the employee’s normal salary minus the amount of money the employee received from any Worker’s Compensation benefits. Employees not covered by Worker’s Compensation will receive their normal salary. The following conditions, however apply:
Qualifications for Disability Leave
The disability resulted from the employee performing his/her job, as provided in the
State’s Worker’s Compensation Act.
A physician will determine the seriousness of the disability and establish a reasonable date for the employee to return to work.
Amount of Time for Disability Leave
Employees will be eligible for disability after they have exhausted their accrued
sick days.
Disability leave shall not exceed sixty working days for any one injury.
Employee’s Position While Disabled
If employees are temporarily unable to do their normal duties, they may be assigned
other reasonable duties while they are recuperating. If an employee refuses their
duties, the employee forfeits any further disability leave.
The College will not hold a position for disabled employees after they have exhausted both their sick days and all disability leave.
