Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. All faculty have to use Canvas. At a minimum, your Canvas shell must include your syllabus and your up-to-date grade book.

As a full-time faculty member you have $650 allocated for professional development. You can use your funds towards conferences, memberships, dues, GTS, books, tuition, etc. Just contact your division chair in order to utilize that funding.

You are expected to complete 86-106 service hours during an academic year.

Your students will evaluate you using an online software program, EvaluationKit. Your students will receive an informal evaluation between 6 and 8 weeks of your first semester. For 3 years, all of your courses will be evaluated. You will also be asked by your division chair to compile the results in an end of year evaluation form.

Student Learning Coordinator

You will start advising at the end of your first semester. Training will be provided by Mustang Success.
