Career Pathways and Success After Graduation
Our students consistently demonstrate a high success rate in transferring to four-year institutions, continuing their education and advancing their careers. Many of our graduates secure Teaching Assistant (TA) positions in Exercise Physiology and related courses, thanks to the in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience gained in our Kinesiology (KIN) courses.
Upon completing the ACE certification(s) at Western, many students are hired for on-campus positions or in commercial gyms, working as personal trainers or group fitness instructors while pursuing their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. This provides valuable real-world experience and a strong foundation for future career success.
Graduates of our program enter a wide variety of health and fitness professions, including roles as Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapists, Cardiac Rehab Specialists, Coaches, Physical Education Teachers, Nurses, and Fitness Business Owners, among many others. The comprehensive education and practical training our students receive at Western equip them to excel in these dynamic and rewarding fields.
