Western Housing offers six different housing styles for students to choose from!

Summer Housing 

Wind River Hall is used for residents over the summer.  

Below are estimated rates for summer housing. Rates vary depending on how long a resident stays on campus over the summer.*

Current Residents

  • Spring to Fall: $1,328.00
  • Graduation through July: $1,027.00

New Residents

  • Summer Only: $726.00
  • Summer to Fall: $1,013.00

To stay on campus during the summer months, students must meet at least one of the following:

  • Students enrolled in regularly scheduled summer classes, workshops or seminars for credit.
  • Students who are pre-registered for at least 1 credits for the following fall semester.
  • Students involved in articulated programs which involve courses that are taught by other colleges or university staff on the Western campus.
  • Interns from other institutions who are receiving college credit for their internship and are approved by the Dean of Students.
  • If a student applies to graduate in May and signs up for summer housing, that student must take summer classes that span the duration of their summer stay.

OTHER HOUSING FEES

All residents are also assessed the following additional housing fees each semester.  Please note that these fees are not refundable:

Housing Support Fee: $15.50 per semester.  This fee is used for support and activities specifically for housing students.

Housing Laundry Fee: $30.00 per semester.  This flat fee is used to support the laundry machines in the laundry room of each building.  Residents do not pay for each load.

MEAL PLANS 

Meal plans are required for any resident in a non-kitchen unit* as well as residents with less than 30 completed credits (even if they are in a full kitchen unit). Sophomore residents who live in a kitchen unit can waive or lower their meal plan. A sophomore resident is classified as residents with 30 completed credits or more, by the first day of of the semester.
