Join us in celebrating 65 years of higher education excellence!
We're thrilled to invite you to our 65th Anniversary Community Celebration, marking six and a half decades of empowering minds, fostering innovation, and shaping futures.
Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
Time: 8:00AM - 9:30PM
Location: Main Campus in Rock Springs, WY
Come together with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends as we reminisce on our rich history, celebrate our achievements, and look forward to a future filled with continued growth and success.
All events are located on the east side of campus. The schedule is as follows:
- 8:00AM - 2PM - Pickleball Tournament courts will be at Western and Rock Springs Palisades Park (the Rock Springs Family Recreation Center will also be available, if needed).
- 11AM - 5PM - Cornhole Tournament at the M-U-S-T-A-N-G-S letter sign
- 11AM - 7PM - Food Trucks located in Western Commons
- 1PM - 9PM - Beer Garden inside the cornhole tournament area
- 1PM - 6PM - DJ Phony Stark
- 1PM - 2PM - Theatre students will be in costume for their Fall production of Anastasia. Come meet their characters! They will also provide face painting for children and a chance to meet Maverick!
- 1PM - 5PM - Aquatic Center open and free to the public
- 1PM - 5PM - Children's activities on the grass near the entrance to the outdoor walking trail.
- 2PM - 3PM - Meet our new President! Dr. Kirk Young will provide free ice cream to the first 65 people from 2PM-3PM in Western Commons.
- 4PM - 7PM - Disco Roller Rink in the Auxiliary Gym free to all guests and equipment checkout available.
- 6:30PM - 9PM - Live Band Atlas Falls
- 9PM - Fireworks
