Pickleball Tournament

Paddles laying on a pickleball court

Pickleball was invented in 1965 as a children's backyard game in the United States, on Bainbridge Island in Washington state. In 2022, pickleball was named the official state sport of Washington. And now it is catching on in Wyoming---whether the weather permits or not!

Up for the challenge? Join Western's first annual pickleball tournament. Entry fees are $25 per individual. All proceeds go towards the cost of the tournament and any additional dollars will be donated to Western Wyoming College Foundation for scholarships. Deadline to register is September 3.

This will be a round-robin tournament (either single, double, or triple, depending on total number of participants). Players must be eighteen years of age or older. Courts will be at Western and at Rock Springs Palisades Park (the Rock Springs Family Recreation Center will also be available, if needed).

There will be cash prizes for the winners of each bracket!
