Facts & Figures

Students Right To Know

The Student Right-to-Know Act, passed by Congress in 1990, requires institutions to calculate completion or graduation rates of certificate or degree seeking, full-time students entering that institution, and to disclose these rates to current and prospective students. Western Wyoming Community College reports these calculations to several external organizations and one is the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. NCES is located within the U.S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences. NCES fulfills a congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and review and report on education activities internationally.

All Student Right To Know information resides on that web site as it is updated with each annual report submitted to NCES. The web site link is here, and is titled, College Navigator.

Retention

Fall to Fall Retention is the percent of students from the cohort of full-time, first-time
degree/certificate-seeking students who are still enrolled or have completed their program the
next fall.

Western's last reported 2 year retention rate is as published below. As an Institution that offers a Bachelor of Applied Science, we are required to report our retention rate as a 4 year Cohort.
