Chili Cook-Off Is Now On Western’s Campus!

Western is set to host the fifth annual Spirit Week Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, January 25 from 11AM to 2PM.  Chili will be served on Western's Rock Springs campus in the atrium. The event is free to the public and chili participants.  

Businesses and individuals in Sweetwater County are invited to enter their winning chili recipe at Western’s Chili Cook-Off. Western will accept registration forms until January 17. In a blind taste test, judges will pick 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each red and green chilis. There will also be a People's Choice Award for the public to vote on their favorite recipe. Love to eat good chili? Drop by Western and do some taste testing! The Spirit Week Chili Cook-Off is family-fun for everyone. On the day of, attendees will be given a raffle card to get stamped at chili stations and then, after so many stamps, exchange their cards for tickets to win prizes. At Western’s wrestling dual that afternoon, winners will be announced. You need not to be present to win.  There is also a People’s Choice Award allowing you to cast your vote for the best chili recipe.  

Following the Chili Cook-Off, participants are encouraged to cheer on the Mustangs during the wrestling dual against Otero Junior College in the Rushmore Gym, starting at 2PM. Come see the skill that made Western back-to-back National Champions!
