Brett is a native of Wyoming and earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Wyoming. After graduating in 2015 he started his career working at Kiewit as a mechanical engineer. After a change of ownership, he started working as project engineer with heavy equipment for Ambre Energy. He spent 4 years as a project engineer and at that point, was looking to expand his knowledge with the company, so when an opportunity to become a mining engineer came available, he switched jobs. While working as a Mining Engineer, he has designed for drill and blast operations as well as dragline design. This knowledge has led him to become the drill/blast and dragline supervisor. Throughout his career, he has used Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) to help in the analysis and optimization of a design. He understands the impact that CAD can have on a company and enjoys teaching and mentoring students to have successful careers with the use of CAD.
