Internships and Clubs

In 2018, Western started a SKILLS U.S.A. fabrication team. This team competes annually against other colleges in the state of Wyoming to test their skills and knowledge. This is a one-day competition that the competitors are giving eight hours to fabricate and build a project according to the given schematics. This is a great opportunity to put your skills to the test and see what instructors have taught you and apply it to a real world application. We as instructors spend an ample amount of time preparing competitors for this event. Also, members of our Skills U.S.A. team will be seen in the community volunteering at events along with instructors to help build a tight knit welding family within Western.
