Deciding to pursue a degree as an educator is proving to be very exciting and challenging. Visiting classrooms to observe the education process, understanding the different methods of teaching, studying the physiology of the adolescent mind, and actually practicing how to teach a class are just a few of the experiences to which one can look forward to do at Western. The classes are a mix of younger and older students, which is great because it presents some life experience into the discussions. Western Wyoming Community College is a great choice for education students. The education professors have an extensive background in teaching, so they can therefore provide a more personal view and go beyond the textbook. They do an amazing job of connecting what they are teaching to the real and present world, and they want the students to know that what is being taught is relevant and will in fact be put to use in future careers.
