Scholarships

The Humanities Division offers two $2,000 scholarships for full-time students majoring in a Humanities area (Art, Communication, English, or Spanish) each academic year. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application.  Watch for signs posted in early spring for details about how to apply, or contact the English Department at English@westernwyoming.edu. 

The application packet typically includes: 

• A cover letter explaining your interest in the scholarship and why you should be selected for it 
• Names and contact information for three (3) references 
• At least two of these must be Western faculty in Art, Communication, English, Spanish, or Humanities 
• The Personal Information Form 
• Official Transcript 
• One example of your best work in the Humanities: 
• A paper 
• A video recorded presentation connecting to the Humanities  
• Other evidence of work in the Humanities
