Children's Center Photo Q: Who is allowed to attend the Children's Center?
A: The children of any WWCC student (full-time or part-time), WWCC faculty and staff, students of Weber, University of Wyoming, Ashford University, Franklin University, Kaplan University, Mayville State University, National American University, Regis University, Southern New Hampshire University, Upper Iowa University, VCSU, Western Governors University, as well as ESL students and HISET students.

Q: What ages do you accept at the Children's Center?
A: We accept children ages 2-5 daily and up to 4th grade in the evening program.

Q: Do children have to be potty-trained?
A: Children do not have to be potty-trained in the Bunnies (2-year-old) class. If your child is not potty-trained we ask that you provide pull-ups while we work with your child on potty-training. Children must be potty-trained to attend the Bears (3-year-old) class.

Q: What do I have to bring with my child?
A: A small towel-sized blanket to leave in the classroom. These are washed with bleach weekly. A seasonally-appropriate change of clothes. (Shirt, pants, underpants, socks.) A cold lunch if they are here between 12 noon and 12:30pm. (We are not able to heat lunches.) Seasonally appropriate outside clothes. (Jacket, coat, gloves, hat, etc.)

Q: What do the kids do all day?
A: The Children's Center has an eclectic curriculum including the Creative Curriculum, a nationally recognized, developmentally appropriate curriculum for children. Our day consists of literacy, mathematics, science, art, music, computer and gross motor activities. In addition to the daily activities listed above, the Children's Center also has a variety of visitors, field trips and special events to enrich your child's learning.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Students are charged a per-credit hour fee as well as a $40 supply fee each semester. Students are billed upon enrollment. Faculty-staff are charged a half-day or full-day rate as well as a $40 supply fee each semester and are billed monthly. Please see our fee scale online or in our handbook for more information.

Q: How many hours can my child stay in the Center?
A: Students are allotted 1 hour per credit hour a week for class time and an additional hour to participate in campus activities, study, etc. For example, a student taking 6 credit hours is allowed up to 12 hours of child care per week at the Children's Center. Likewise, a student taking 12 credit hours is allowed up to 24 hours per week of care.

Q: Do the kids get snacks?
A: Yes, the Children's Center provides both morning and afternoon snacks.

Q: What are your hours?
A: The Children's Center is open Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., following the academic calendar. We are open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during summer semester.
