GREEN RIVER, WY AUGUST 3, 2021

The Community Education program through Western Wyoming Community College (Western) will be put on temporary hiatus starting August 23, 2021 through December 13, 2021.

Western is using the hiatus period to review the types of programs offered to better service Sweetwater County, and to connect with service-area partners, and community members regarding changes. The College is seeking community input and feedback on the Community Education programs to ensure the community’s needs are being met.

The Community Education program will be reintroduced to the community in January 2022 with new courses and opportunities for students.

Western has been in the process of reimagining our services to our students and community as a whole. The Community Education staff felt this was the perfect opportunity to take the time to evaluate our program and improve it for the community. We have already had a meeting with many key stakeholders who are going to be involved in the entire process. We are excited to reintroduce Community Education at Western in the Spring semester.-— Kasey Damori, Director of Outreach & Workforce Development.
