“You will enrich your life immeasurably if you approach it with a sense of wonder and discovery, and always challenge yourself to try new things.”-— Nate Berkus

The importance of being a well-rounded human being can’t be overstated, especially if you’re already investing in your future by attending college. Possessing a wide variety of skills, certifications and interests can only serve to bolster your employability and enhance your inner sense of self. Western Wyoming Community College (Western) strives to be more than just a pathway to a degree. Western also offers enrichment courses intended to augment your experience and degree as well as offer training to the wider community. The College offers business courses intended to teach important skills to both students and community members alike. Other practical skill building classes include marketing, information technology and even speed reading!

The college also offers enrichment courses dedicated to exploration and creativity. The exploration courses range from discovering more of the natural world, as well as the society around you, to learning a new language! Some of the enrichment course include anthropology, political science, history, psychology, sociology and Spanish language classes. All these classes serve to further expand your knowledge base and become a more well rounded and developed student in accordance with your personal goals.

As the world becomes more global and culturally indistinct, the ability to relate to and understand different perspectives and cultures will become an invaluable skill to any employer. The creativity enrichment courses are also an excellent supplement to a college education, as the ability to think creatively is becoming an integral part of navigating a more technical world, made even more important with the advent of AI. Some of the creativity enrichment classes offered include drawing, ceramics and creative writing.

Outside of the aforementioned categories, the enrichment courses offered also include outdoor and wellness classes. As many may be aware, your body and mental health are the most important aspects of ensuring your success as a college student. Western goes above and beyond to ensure your college experience is as smooth and beneficial to your development as possible, whether it be from these enrichment courses or the environment as a whole.
