About Our Teams

Men's Basketball
First Year Head Coach Steven Soza and First-Year Assistants, Kameron Pearce and Jake Harris, are excited about this 2018-2019 season. Included in this year's roster is Sophomore Carter Rosette from Rock Springs. Driven by hard work and determination, this team is striving to be Mustang strong and be involved in community events.

Coach Mike Swenson begins his second year as the Head Coach of the Mustangs. He is joined by First-Year Assistant Coaches, Jordan Giles and Courtney Patterson, who both played high school basketball for Rock Springs and college basketball in Region IX. The team is working hard like all Mustang teams to be "Good People, Good Students and Good Athletes," in that order.

Coach Art Castillo is starting his tenth year as Head Coach of the Mustangs. Last year the Mustangs finished fourth at Nationals after qualifying eight wrestlers for the tournament. They won the Rocky Mountain District Championships and also finished second in the country academically. Five wrestlers earned All-American status, with two finishing as National Champions. Castillo is joined by Assistant Coaches Rick Yoak, Bill Hodges, Dillon Karajanis and Shawn Seppala.

First-Year Head Coach Fredann Soto takes over the Mustang Volleyball program after serving the program for two years as an assistant coach. She is joined by Assistant Coaches Dani Torpey and Jake Harris, in their first years with the program. They as with all Mustang teams will be very competitive, while striving to achieve an overall 3.0+ Team GPA, which is a goal for all Mustang Athletic teams.

Men's Soccer
Coach Jeff Atkinson has been coaching Mustang Men's Soccer for fourteen years, counting this season. He is joined by first-year Assistant Roger Carroll. Local players for this year's squad include freshmen Nick Kautzman, Jaymin Carroll, Kalen Kester and Kingdom Wanjoku, and sophomores Delaney Seilbach, Kade Moeller, and Josh Rawson.

Women's Soccer
Coach Jeff Atkinson is in his fourth year coaching the Women's Soccer team. His assistant coach, Brady Baldwin, has been with the program for six years. Last year's team joined the Men's team at the District Semi-finals while boasting the most wins by a Women's Soccer team in school history. This team and all others look to serve as role models for future Mustangs and make it a priority to serve at events in the community.

All home contests for regular season Mustang Athletics events are free, and all home basketball, volleyball, and wrestling contests are live streamed.
